CORPORAL TOM SOLIZ HEADSTONE REDEDICATION

Due to severe weathering over the past forty years and not having been engraved with the Navy Cross designation, the headstone of Corporal Tom Soliz, USMC is being replaced. Tommy served with A Co., 1st Tracs at Cua Viet and was KIA September 6, 1967.

A memorial service and graveside ceremony to rededicate our fellow AmGrunt's headstone will be held on May 25, 2008, in East Palestine, Ohio. Services will take place at the St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of the Reverend Jack Ernest, a fellow Marine.

The daughter of Corporal Soliz, Linda McBrayer, extends an invitation to all AmGrunts to attend these services.

AMGRUNT MEMORIAL WALL - Dedicated on September 8, 2006 at the General Alfred M. Gray Marine Corps Research Center Archives and Libraries in Quantico, Virginia; the AmGrunt Memorial marks the achivements of the 1st Amphibian Tractor Battalion "AmGrunts" in Vietnam.

VIETNAM REVISITED - In 2005 we sponsored a "Return to Vietnam" tour. Three former members of 1st AmTrac Battalion and one former member of 3rd AmTrac Battalion returned together to those places of their youth.
